Riding
At Gut Römerhof in Altenmarkt/Salzburg, riders and their horses find everything they could wish for, from an indoor riding arena to dressage enclosures, from guest stables to opportunities for treks through the mountains which surround Altenmarkt, Radstadt, Zauchensee and Dachstein.
We are a riding school accredited by the Austrian Riding Federation, offering riding and show-jumping courses for riders from beginner to advanced. In addition, you can also learn the basics of carriage driving and earn a variety of equestrian merit badges.
Riding Lessons
Foundation Course - Beginner
Horse care, cleaning, snaffling, saddling, riding at a walk and trot, group and individual control of the horse, steering the horse.
Foundation Course - Advanced
Horse care, cleaning, snaffling, saddling are already assumed. Improvement of posture at a walk and trot, Exercises for first gallop.
Advanced
Riding in curved lines, correct positioning and turning of the horse, variation in speed, pace transitions, lateral motion.
Show-Jumping Instruction

Learn the correct posture, jump posture, ground rails and cavaletti, jumping exercises, gallop rails, individual jumps
Foundation Course - Advanced
Jumping exercises, individual jumps, follow-through, combinations.
Advanced
Follow-through, combinations, taking different lines, speed rides, course jumping.
